The SIAM Service

So far, we have analysed over £3.2 billion of commercial property assets to measure the extent that future performance may be at risk from issues surrounding climate change and sustainability, from individual properties to multi-million pound pension funds and property unit trusts.

We have looked at most types of property: from trophy office buildings to standard retails, from out of town business parks and retail warehouses to substantial in-town shopping centres, from multi-let industrial estates to major distribution centres.

We assess the risks, identify the opportunities and devise asset management strategies that are designed to enable property investors to do the right thing but at the right time and to set Environmental Policies that support, rather than undermine, investment returns.

SIAM was part of a Working Group set up by the Department of Energy & Climate Change to help explore the best way to implement the Minimum Energy Performance Standards introduced under the Energy Act 2011.

With Sweett Group and Kingston University, SIAM was also commissioned by the Green Contruction Board to interrogate the register of Non-Domestic Energy Performance Certificates and to evaluate the potential impact of the new regulations on property investment values.

As a result, SIAM is very well placed to advise both owners and occupiers of commercial property and their advisors on all aspects of the new regulations.
